John Stankewicz

Founder and CEO of Compass Training Center. Chief Operations Officer, Co-Owner and Master Instructor for Nielsen Training & Consulting. Mr. Stankewicz lives in Chino Valley, Arizona. John is the primary manager of the Compass Training Center AZ facility to include the current public shooting ranges, as well, as future shooting matches and training classes conducted by Nielsen Training and Consulting and other trainers throughout the country. John is an NRA Certified Chief Range Safety Officer.

John served as a police officer for 14 years in two northern California police agencies. During his tenure John’s duties included many diverse positions such as a Patrol Officer, Field Training Officer, Chief Firearms Instructor, Police Corporal and Police Association President. John is a POST certified as a Range Master, Patrol Rifle Instructor/armorer, Glock Armorer, Active Shooter Instructor, Simunitions Instructor, Patrol Bicycle Instructor and International Association of Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors – Master Instructor Certified. While in Law Enforcement John also helped form and taught as an instructor with the “Peninsula Rangemasters Group” which was formed to bring consistent basic and advanced patrol rifle instruction to Law Enforcement Officers in northern California. PRG went on to train local, state and federal law enforcement officers. John served his country as a Gunners Mate in the United States Navy from 1986 to 1991. He is a Veteran of the first Gulf War – Desert Shield/Desert Storm with a total of three Middle East Deployments in his career. His service to veterans continues currently as a Past Commander of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 541 in Prescott Arizona and Past Commander of Post 4103 in South San Francisco, California.

Todd Nielsen

Todd is currently the Chief Operations Officer of Compass Training Center and Corporate Founder, CEO and Master Instructor of Nielsen Training & Consulting. Todd provides overall leadership and management of the facility and is the co-coordinator of future development plans. Mr. Nielsen currently resides in Utah and travels throughout the country to conduct training. Todd is also an NRA Certified Chief Range Safety Officer.

Todd retired as a full time police officer in August 2015. He started his law enforcement career in 1990 with the San Jose Police Department. During his tenure, Todd has served in many Special Operations units which consisted of a convert and plain clothed Narcotic Enforcement, Critical Incident Teams, Rapid Containment Teams, Crowd Control and also doing High-Risk Warrant Service with his department and in conjunction with other local SWAT teams. He has been a Field Training Officer (FTO) for over 10 years and AR-15 Operator (Specialist) for over 17 years. This has given him an opportunity to train many new and veteran officers. Todd developed and implemented a low-light tactical training program for his department along with training all in-service officers in Active Shooter Tactics, Use of Force, Dynamic and Slow Search Tactics, First Aid and CPR. Todd is a POST certified firearms instructor, an NRA firearms instructor as well as a certified force on force instructor.

Regina Pecoraro

Director for Compass Training Center. Ms. Pecoraro lives in Chino Valley, Arizona and is in charge of overall administrative duties for the Facility. Gina currently holds NRA Chief Range Safety Officer, Range Safety Officer and certified instructor certificates as well as being an assistant instructor and administrator for Nielsen Training and Consulting.

Gina served in the California Army National Guard with a Military Police Unit and Military Police Headquarters unit. During that time she was deployed to South West Asia during Operation Desert Shield/Storm as well as Operation Garden Plot (LA Riots). She continued her service as a Veterans Service Officer for several Veteran’s organizations.
